This is a test to examine the blood supply to your heart muscle under stress conditions (similar to exercise) to see if there are any problems with the blood vessels supplying your heart muscle. A small dose of a radioactive tracer is injected and a drug is used to increase the stress on the heart. The images taken at rest are compared with those obtained under stress conditions to see if there may be blockages in the heart arteries.
