Dr Timothy Williams

Consultant Cardiologist

Timothy Williams is an established general cardiologist with a specialist interest in coronary artery disease and intervention. He has lived in the Tunbridge Wells area for over 10 years, first moving during Cardiology training, before establishing himself as a consultant in the area.

He trained in the Kent, Surrey, and Sussex deanery before being appointed in 2021 at The Tunbridge Wells Hospital as an NHS Consultant Cardiologist. He additionally works at Kings College Hospital where be provides complex coronary procedures in addition to supporting the regional heart attack service. Providing experience and expertise in all aspects of Cardiology, Tim excels in the management of coronary artery disease and interventional treatment.

Supporting training of colleagues Tim has been a Royal College of Medicine Tutor at The Tunbridge Wells Hospital since 2022, and supports regional Cardiology training with “hands on” sessions and formal lectures at the Royal Society of Medicine. He is also lead for coronary intervention at The Maidstone And Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.

Tim provides interventional procedures at KIMS hospital, Maidstone, The Tunbridge Wells Hospital, and at The Cleveland Clinic, London.

Outside of work he enjoys trying to keep fit by running and cycling, and spending time with his family.
